A British Christian Christmas Story

Theoretically the 600 million Evangelical Christians2 can fulfil the goals of Matthew 28:19-20 within four years (click here for the calculations). But we are targeting year 2039.

We propose that Christians should unite to complete the requirements of Matthew 28:19-20 by the end of the 2030-39 decade.

We offer our Easy Evangelism (click) approach to help Christians with sharing the gospel.

Your Presents for Jesus - Be a Fruitful Servant

Each follower of Jesus is expected to be Jesus Christ's fruitful servant in The Kingdom of God, working in unity with other Christians. Leaders may need to re-focus on the key requirements of Ephesians 4:11-16.

Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. (see 2 Corinthians 5:11-20)

Notes

1 What is JAH?

  • Jesus Adds Hope - (a) In His name the nations will put their hope (Matthew 12:21). (b) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:2). (c) But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
  • Jah or Yah (Hebrew: יָהּ‎, Yāh) is a short form of יהוה (YHWH), the four letters that form the Tetragrammaton, the personal name of God: Yahweh, which the ancient Israelites used. See Wikipedia

2 Statistics Joshuaproject.net

  • There are 8 billion people in the world and 7.8% are Evangelical Christians. This means that there are at least 620 million Evangelical Christians.

3 2,000th anniversary of the foundation of the Christian faith

  • "The majority of bible scholars agree that fourteenth of Nisan (7 April) of the year A.D. 30 is the most likely date of the crucifixion of Jesus. Another preferred date among scholars is Friday, April 3, 33 AD. We can therefore say that the 2,000th anniversary will be in the range 2030 - 2033. Click and scroll down to the section 'chronology'
  • Date of The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ according to popular Christian platforms:- AD 30 Biblical Archaeology AD 32 One For Israel AD 33 Christianity.com /The Gospel Coalition / Answers In Genesis
  • The Foundation of the Christian faith was established when Jesus Christ the Messiah was crucified and buried; then, three days later, He resurrected. A few weeks afterwards, The Holy Spirit in-filled the disciples on the day of Pentecost.
  • For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:11)
  • Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22).

4 Who is Jesus? - According to the public

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:13-16.

5 What does Evangelical mean?

Evangelical Christians are followers of Jesus Christ who generally emphasize:

  • The Lord Jesus Christ as the sole source of salvation through faith in Him.
  • Personal faith and conversion with regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
  • A recognition of the inspired Word of God as the only basis for faith and living.
  • Commitment to Biblical preaching and evangelism that brings others to faith in Christ.
  • Aligning themselves with churches where the gospel is being proclaimed.
This is a theological and not an experiential definition. It does not mean that all Evangelicals as defined above are actually born-again.

7 Only Four Years to Evangelise the world.

    For example:-
  • Year one. One Christian helps to bring one person to Christ and disciples him/her to be a solid servant of Jesus Christ. At the end of that year, there will be 2 of them.
  • Year two. These 2 Christians each help to bring one person to Christ and disciples him/her to be a solid servant of Jesus Christ. At the end of year two, there will be 4 of them.
  • Year three. These 4 Christians each help to bring one person to Christ and disciples him/her to be a solid servant of Jesus Christ. At the end of year three, there will be 8 of them.
  • Year Four. 8 Christians each help to bring one person to Christ and disciples him/her to be a solid servant of Jesus Christ. At the end of year three, there will be 16 of them.
  • Year Five. 16 Christians each help to bring one person to Christ and disciples him/her to be a solid servant of Jesus Christ. At the end of year three, there will be 32 of them.
So, in 4 years, from the ministry of one Christian, we now have 16 solidly discipled Christians including himself/herself. There are approximately 600 million Evangelical Christians in the world. Let us assume that each one is a solidly discipled servant of Jesus. If the ministry of each one leads to a total of 16 Christians then there would be 9.6 billion Christians in four years.
In 2022 it is estimated that the world population became 8 billion people. Therefore, theoretically the goals of Matthew 28:19,20 can be realised within 4 years of 2022.
  • We're using these rough calculations to show what can be achieved theoretically. There are of course, many factors that militate against achieving the Matthew 28:19,20 goals, and they need to be overcome.
The UN projects that the world population will reach 8.6 billion in 2030 and 9.8 billion in 2050. See here

The most important point is that we need to produce true followers of Jesus Christ Messiah, who have been solidly discipled to serve faithfully and fruitfully in God's Kingdom. It is very hard work! But necessary.
